Description
This work is a reflection on the obsessive-compulsive disorder of checking, in this case of checking whether things are in their place. An intention of the work is to speak about the obsession in an indirect way while inserting an element of irony.
The video documents a real action that took place over fourteen days. A friend of the artist who suffers from the obsession gave the artist the key to her car while asking him to take care of the car and visit it regularly during her absence adding that he should not lose the key. The artist promised to do so and to send her regular news. Each day a new video segment was sent to the friend.
The friend has named her car and talks to it. This is reflected in the work. The car goes through all of the stages of missing someone as if it were capable of such feelings, just like a person.
